An ideal base to relax and unwind, West Burton is central to many places of natural beauty and historic background.Impressive Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force, and the market town of Hawes, famous for the Wensleydale Creamery of 'Wallace & Gromit' are all close by, whilst the North Yorkshire Moors, Lower Lake District, York and the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough can readily be reached for a Grand Day Out!
Walden, a secret dale in Wensleydale, extends 4 miles from the unspoilt village of West Burton. Here at Walden Head, almost where the road ends, you will find Grange House. |

Grange House sits in tranquil surroundings amongst spectacular scenery, approx. 4 miles from the lovely village of West Burton, which has a well stocked Village Store/Post Office, a butchers shop and public house. Pub meals are available locally and in nearby villages of Aysgarth, Thoralby and West Witton. A bus service to Leyburn and to outlying villages operates daily.
Grange House is a former farmhouse, built around 1890 and has a small attached annexe, occupied by the owners. It stands in 3 acres of pasture, which is home to our pet sheep, pygmy goats and ranging hens (the freshest of free range eggs are usually available).
The accommodation is light and spacious, comfortably arranged on two floors, and sleeps a maximum of 7 people in four bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor.
Ground Floor - Large entrance hall with shower room containing w.c. and basin, shower and fitted bathroom furniture.
- Farmhouse kitchen with oil fired Aga, built-in electric cooker and grill, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and TV.
- Large lounge with open fire, TV, DVD player and VCR
- Dining room.
- Double bedroom.

First Floor - Master suite with 5 foot wide bed and en-suite facilities including shower, basin, w.c. and bidet
- One twin bedroom and one single bedroom
- Bathroom providing bath with hand shower, basin and w.c.

Services - TV in Master suite.
- Shared use of utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Washing line.
- Oil central heating, electricity and fuel provided.
- Externally there is a garden to the front, a rear garden with table and seating and adjacent garth with large pond, and, in the summer months, a large trampoline.
- Parking for one car on the front forecourt, and a further two in the adjacent garth
