Surrounded by open fields Suffolk lowland coastal heath the cottage is an ideal base for walking. Just half a mile to Blaxhall village with its traditional Suffolk pub - The Ship Inn - and close to Snape, home of the Aldeburgh Festival, and the coast at Aldeburgh there is plenty to occupy you summer or winter.
Fine restaurants abound in the area and there is excellent bird watching at Orford and Minsmere. Dunwich, Framlingham and Sutton Hoo are musts for the history lover and Southwold has fascinating shops, a great beach and Adnams Brewery to see.
