Tucked down a quiet country lane, with spectacular views over the water meadows of the river Deben at Lower Ufford. A very short and attractive walk takes you into this scenic village's centre where there is a delightful 12th century parish church and an excellent pub both for food and Adnams, the Suffolk brew.
On the upper reaches of the River Deben, Lower Ufford is a village little changed by time and still retaining an old fashioned attraction and sleepiness. Close to Woodbridge and the sea it is an ideal location for exploring the magical coastline and the last great lowland heaths in Britain.
