ORFORD 12miles (19km) BAWDSEY 11miles (16km) SNAPE 13miles (21km) ALDEBURGH 20miles (33km),

In the heart of the ancient market town of Woodbridge, close to the river and with private parking for 2 cars and space for a dinghy, the Old Bakery provides superb self catering accommodation for anyone wanting to sail, explore the wonderful Suffolk coastal countryside and beaches or visit Sutton Hoo.

Much beloved, the owners continue to improve and upgrade the cottage which is just a couple of minutes walk from the river - some marvellous walks - on one side and the Woodbridge's thriving shopping centre on the other, with its antique shops, new and second hand bookshops, galleries and superb array of fine food shops, restaurants and pubs.

Ancient buildings abound and there are several museums, an old tide mill and post mill, all within walking distance, as well as Sutton Hoo just a couple of miles towards the sea in the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Heritage coast at Bawdsey, Shingle Street, Orford and Aldeburgh are all within a short drive. And don't forget a visit to Snape Maltings and the Aldeburgh Festival. For lots of information on the area please look at our own online guide Visit Woodbridge
