SNAPE 2.3miles (3.7km), ALDEBURGH 7.8miles (12.5km), WOODBRIDGE 10miles (16km) Set in a tiny hamlet overlooking fields and a very private back garden, Swallow Cottage is a traditional Suffolk cottage newly refurbished to provide comfortable accommodation for six people.
Surrounded by open fields Suffolk lowland coastal heath the cottage is an ideal base for walking. Just a mile or so to Blaxhall with its traditional Suffolk pub - good food - and close to Snape, home of the Aldeburgh Festival, and the coast at Aldeburgh there will be plenty to occupy you summer or winter.
Fine restaurants abound in the area and there is excellent bird watching at Orford and Minsmere. Dunwich, Framlingham and Sutton Hoo are musts for the history lover and Southwold has fascinating shops, a great beach and Adnams Brewery to see.
